Walsh continued

GOP County Executive candidate Dan Kennison has stated that it was he who first informed Will County Auditor Steve Weber’s office about questions he had concerning a 65-hundred dollor donation to Walsh’s reelection campaign from individuals with connections to the firm Smith, Dawson, and Andrews. Earlier this week, a pair of FBI agents showed up in Weber’s office; and Weber later told 1340 WJOL that there is an active investigation concerning an elected Will County official that was initiated by his office. Meanwhile, the firm’s Jim Smith has released a statement saying that “Smith, Dawson, and Andrews is very proud of our professional relationship with Will County and of the effective service we have performed under our contract. I want to assure you that all of our activities with Larry Walsh, Matt Ryan, and the Will County Board; and for that matter every other client; have been and will continue to be totally professional, proper, and transparent.” It was Thursday on 1340 WJOL that Walsh questioned why the Auditor’s office would even be involved in looking into this. But later on 1340 WJOL, Weber stated that his office needs to follow its role as “watchdog for the county.”

This Weber/Kennison/Riley thing is about to come apart at the seams, and they are about to be exposed as political operatives who offer nothing but dirty tricks instead of substance.
Jake, I like your blog and I commend you for doing a service by drawing attention to corrpution in Will County. If a democrat does something wrong, you would be correct in talking about it. My only gripe is that the activities of local republicans, which are usually as bad if not worse, seem to get ignored on this website. I think there are good people on both sides, and bad people too. Just my $.02. Thanks for listening.
