inside source states attorney office: transcripts of 6:45 March 07/08/03 Will county Police
A call came in to the Will County Sheriff’s Office at 6:45 pm the anonymous caller spoke with the on duty officer.
Officer: “Yes. What can I do for you?”
an anonymous caller “I’m calling to report my neighbor Virgil Sith…. He’s hiding Marijuana inside his firewood! the caller stated, I Do not know how he puts it inside the logs, but he’s hiding it there and they are in the shed in back of his home.”
The on duty officer reported what he had been told by the caller to his superiors, So today march 9th 2007, the Sheriff’s Deputies and the States attorney descend on Virgil’s home in the 1400 block of Jefferson St in Joliet Illinois. They search the shed out back of Virgil’s home where the firewood was kept, using axes, they busted open every piece of wood in Virgil’s shed, but did not find marijuana. After 3 1/2 hours grilling the suspect Virgil Sith, Not finding no probable cause for arrest, they sneer at Virgil and leave.
Shortly after the Police and the States attorney left, the phone rings at Virgil’s home. The states attorney and one Will county officer was now enforcing a wire tap on Virgil’s home 3 blocks away; the Unknown caller said:
“Unknown caller (whispering)…. Did the Sheriff show up.
Virgil: Yea and they brought the States attorney too?”
Unknown caller: “What did they do”?
Virgil: They came with a warrant and busted up all of my wood in my shed and I don’t know why?”
Unknown caller: “Well I told you I would help you with that job of splitting the wood!” “Happy Birthday, buddy!”
“Note this just a joke and never really happened“.

The town of Newlenox IL would have experienced growth if a monkey was mayor.
Mike Smith has promoted growth at ALL costs. Not managed growth.
Route 30 is a mess and only after an up roar is it being addressed. Mike Smith alone backed the WalMart/Menards development on Route 30.
He talks about a comprehensive plan for the town but know one has seen it. It seems to change at his desires. He hasn’t opened dialogue with the residents.
Mike Smith has too much unchecked power. Look at what he was spending city money on……Elect someone who is concerned about the residents and not personal political gain or profit.
The planning is disgraceful. The few voices on the board the last handful of years as well as the residents have been effectively shut out by Smith, they like to spin and label anyone who is for better development as anti-growth. They’re uneducated playground bullies in old man bodies.
Listen to what the candidates say very carefully and question them on everything, and listen to what they don’t say. Most are very effective at soft talk, portraying themselves as bridge builders. Many of them will cherry pick facts they want you to believe. If you’re told anything, check it out for yourself. It is amazing what some of these folks will deliberately hide from the public.
From Joliet Jake: To: Mayor Mike: the questions and comments across the Internet are flying would you like to answer some of these here Feel free to email us at /Will County Watcher/ Bloggers want to KNOW……Remember they vote.
If you think Rt 30 is bad to drive on now wait till I-355 ext becomes a reality.
New Lenox is about to become a driving nightmare if the city of New Lenox Illinois puts a Wal-Mart where Wal-Mart is looking to place their store, “NOW” that would cause the roads to have to be expanded and future tax increases to New Lenox residents, this would cause undue stress of business and property owners along Rt 30 and loss of parking for businesses also.
This would then have the snowball effect of causing businesses to close or relocate maybe along Rt 6 and cause loss of tax dollars to New Lenox and give tax dollars to Joliet, Lockport or Mokena if the businesses choose to relocate in these towns.
I know quite a few business owners in New Lenox; well to put it bluntly they would relocate out of New Lenox pending the decision of New Lenox and Wal-Mart, some already have plans to relocate.
It is common sense if the city costs the businesses money they will move and they will take their tax dollars with them, what about the jobs that will be lost and the pay checks of their employees. Where is the tax dollars gone then?
If Mayor Mike and the rest of the city council goes thru with their plans it would cause great damage to the small town charm of New Lenox while costing many in New Lenox in property values and higher taxes, I know I would not want to live that close to a Wal-Mart store how about you?
To many of us work out of town, I have to drive thru New Lenox to go home, I spend 1 hour in the evening driving home an 30 min going to work, If this plan goes thru I may spend even longer during my daily drive, this then reduces the time I have with my family and it could severely affects home life.
Time to ReThink.
