Is this really the American Jobs Act?

 

At no point in time during that speech did I hear anything that made me believe that Private Sector jobs were going to be created. He talked about cutting Corporate taxes. Ok. How much? How long? Business won’t hire if its not significant and long term. But that was it. How can government create jobs? Cut spending. Cut debt. Encourage companies to build their businesses in the USA by promising long term significant reductions in regulations and taxes. Significantly change the tax code.

He did say he wanted to give tax credits to small businesses who hire people, but think about that for a minute. A tax credit is a one time offering and thereafter that employee must be maintained at full price. Now think about this. His healthcare plan adds a between 4 and 8 percent (of employee pay) tax on all employees. Now you get a small business that hires someone, they get a one time tax break for one revenue cycle, and then they have to pay between 4 and 8 percent of that person’s salary to pay for their healthcare plan. Uh Uh. Sorry. Thats not a plan. Thats a disaster waiting to happen. Thats kicking the can down the road.

He also said he wants to cut payroll taxes, but if that’s going to happen, and he is gonna tinker with the tax code why not just dig in and change the whole dang thing? If a republican wanted to change the tax code there would be howls of outrage from across the nation that they are stealing money from the treasury and hurling grandma off the cliff in a wheel chair, but if a democrat wants to change it and reduce it there is applause? He’s not stealing? Well then why not just go all the way and scrap it and change it for real. This is a gimmick. It will not jump start the economy. This gimmick has proven in the past it will not jumpstart the economy. Only significant changes to the system of taxation in America will jumpstart the economy. We are using a tax system and code that is 100 years old. It served out great grandparents well but in this age of Technology it kills jobs and is killing our economy.

To complicate matters this so called plan of Obama’s won’t be available for 10 more days. Nobody has seen it. It was and is not available to the public nor to the Congress, and Obama will not make it available to anyone for 10 more days. How does that happen? He demands a joint session of congress to address the nation on jobs with what he says is a jobs plan, but then none of it is in writing. How does he get away with that? Does that tell you that possibly the whole address before Congress was a scheme to upend the Republican Debate at the Regan Library? How long will this plan be out and available to the public to review? How is this going to really be paid for? Should it be paid for? It was full of juicy Union and Teacher promises and benefits. Should the government be paying for jobs? Isn’t that counter productive? Doesn’t that seem bassakwards? The government paying for jobs. Hmmm. Ok. I thought the private sector did the jobs thing, and from that revenue rolls in.

Obama’s plan is to spend 450 billion dollars on government jobs and then get a fraction of that back in tax revenue. We go into the hole by another 1/2 trillion and get a small fraction returned. We then end up in worse shape than what we started in. He gets to avoid the problem for a year until he gets re-elected and then who cares after that. He’s the Lame Duck or potentially the Dictator.  Spend 450 billion get 20 billion or so back in tax revenues is not a job creation plan. Its planned debt to add to the 15 trillion we owe now which will enrich those who own that debt. We pay 400 billion yearly in interest on the debt. Guess what, someone is pocketing that 400 billion yearly. Who? Find that out and you will find the reason why Obama and this government wants to dig a deeper debt hole for us to have to dig ourselves out of. Are you seeing what I am seeing? Really. This is a true case of him calling the sky green when it is really blue.

If he really wants jobs then Drill baby Drill. It will create an estimated 1.2 million jobs over the course of a year and many of those jobs will be Union jobs. It will also effectively reduce the price of gas which will instantly put money into consumers and businesses pockets to pump back into the economy and create jobs. It will also effectively keep 100’s of billions of dollars in our pockets by not sending those dollars to other nations to pay for oil. It will also effectively end the war on terror since terrorists will no longer have a source of funding. If he wants a jobs plan scrap the tax code and drill baby drill. Sounds simple but really the simplest things in life are often times the most genius. And I didn’t come up with this plan. Some other genius did. His/Her name is common sense.

We need leadership not compromise. We need ideas that can work effectively no more experimental legislation that makes political science look more like political dice and tea leaf reading.

Obama is like a sheet of toliet paper.

10 thing obama won’t say:

1. It’s not Bush’s fault. I’ve been your President for almost two years. If you want to be angry at someone, I’m your man.

2. I was wrong. I took your money, billions of dollars of it. And you don’t have the jobs to show for it. Nothing was shovel-ready, and unemployment is well over 8%. My approach didn’t work, and I’m changing course to make things right.

6. Throwing the word ‘racist’ around is irresponsible. It’s a serious word with serious implications that should be reserved for legitimate cases. Media, that doesn’t include labeling everyone who disagrees with me a racist.

7. People have been taxed enough already. That includes joint filers earning $250,000 or more a year. It also includes individuals earning $200,000 or more a year, some of whom likely worked many eighteen-hour days making practically nothing to get where they are today. It’s time to put your money back in your hands. That’s why I’m extending the Bush tax cuts for everyone.

8. There’s nothing unclear about the word ‘illegal.’ To condone illegal immigration is to condone breaking the law. I stand with Governor Brewer.

9. Peace through strength is the only answer. The world is a safer place when America is strong. It is my number-one priority to keep her that way.

10. The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. It’s time for the federal government to take a step back, perform the jobs it is constitutionally meant to do, and get the heck out of your way. Your Constitution is like toilet paper, tear it apart piece by piece soon you don’t have enough to wipe your ass effectively.

SEIU local 1 goes on the attack at McDonalds in Joliet Illinois, while SEIU local 1 promoting the democrat party’s Debbie Halvorson and AJ Wilhelmi there was an altercation between one of Joliet Illinois homeless person and 3 SEIU local 1 members, the SEIU member wanted the Joliet homeless man to fill out paper work that was clearly not his for voting in the up coming election for $10.00, KG the homeless man was standing his ground while fighting the 3 SEIU members..KG must be an honest man, I as a republican and a voter would like to thank him for standing up for American truth and morals.

Even though KG hasn’t any home to live in, he has pride and is honest. While speaking with KG I found out that he has been unemployed for 18 months and has been looking everyday walking sometimes up to 20-25 miles per day.

When you go to the polls today think of all the taxes that have been levied on your pockets in the last 4 years,  stop and think if you re-elect the same people back into office will the situation change under their management of the city and county of Joliet and Will County.

I cast my vote today and I voted to oust the current regime and voted for change, I want jobs for the area, “not” more taxes by a pick-pocket elected board(s) I was and am tired of paying for the screws-up, only to be asked to fix the problem with more of my tax dollars when they have wasted so much of our tax dollars in the past.

So vote today for tomorrow your pocket my be picked clean.

As a Veteran, a Past Commander of an American Legion Post and an active participant in Veterans issues I have a special disgust for those who would denigrate any Veteran for any reason. More times than not this ire is put upon us by those who loathe the idea of serving our Great Country in any capacity in the Military. I just have to believe that this is the case in this instance. This is my first time running for elected office but I am not new to politics.

Thus, I expected that when I began exposing the corruption and pay-to-play politics I knew existed in Will County Executive Larry Walsh’s Office, Walsh would ultimately send his political attack dogs after me and ratchet up his smear machine.

After I received the endorsements of the major law enforcement unions in Will County(1), I expected desperate acts from Larry Walsh.

But, with Walsh and his Chief of Staff Matt Ryan under FBI scrutiny(2), their desperation and resulting duplicity even surprises me.

Through a fraudulent Will County Democrat newsletter that fronts as a newspaper, Walsh (who is a listed staff member for the periodical–SEE ATTACHMENT BELOW) and his henchmen have made some of the most vicious AND untrue allegations that you can level against someone, accusing me of being dishonorably discharged from the military (I served in the U.S. Air Force from 1976-1980) and accusing me of being a “wife-beater”.

I have campaigned on a commitment to bring transparency to Will County government. So it is in that spirit and with the backing of my family that I respond to these malicious lies so that Will County residents have the facts and they can make up their own minds about what kind of person they want as their County Executive.

I will not allow myself or my family to be beaten up in a back alley by Larry Walsh, by Larry Walsh’s “newspaper”(3) or by Larry Walsh’s political hatchet men. So here we go:

I. Larry Walsh Lie #1

First, regarding my military service, I am not going to play the “he said, he said” game. After this aspersion was cast, I ordered my DD214 from the United States Air Force. The DD214 is my military discharge papers. They should arrive this week. I will post my discharge papers on my campaign website(4), for all to see.

And when I do, I want the record to reflect that Mr. Walsh disrespected me and every other veteran in Will County and in our nation by spewing a lie about my service in order to smear me and score cheap political points with the hope that some would only hear the allegation and never the truth. It is outrageous.

II. Larry Walsh Lie #2

Second, re: the allegation as to my former marriage. Here is the complete story:

My ex-wife Mary and I were married for 11 years. We had one child, our son Tyler.

Within weeks of Tyler‘s birth and throughout the 11-years she was in Tyler‘s presence, Mary suffered from significant mental illness developing first with postpartum depression and then to postpartum psychosis and later to bi-polar disorder. Her depression was and is severe, requiring 10 hospitalizations in 10 years with each stay longer than 25 days.

She has been prescribed multiple drug regimens for years and has been under the care of a doctor for more than 17 years.

In the last year of our marriage, she began hurting herself and family members. I made the decision to divorce.

On the day I told her that I would file for divorce and seek custody of our children, Mary called the Joliet police and claimed that I had battered her. Although there was no such incident and no signs of such incident, I was subjected to the police policy to arrest and separate.

I was not only found innocent of the charge by a Will County Judge but I was granted an “Order of Protection” which prohibited Mary from coming into contact with me or our children.

I was subsequently granted a divorce and custody of our children. Mary was granted only “Supervised Visitation”, requiring that a third party be present in order for her to visit the children. Mary has elected not to exercise her right to that supervised visitation at any time since our divorce.

After being found innocent of the charge Mary had leveled against me, the allegation and complete record were expunged.

I continue to raise Tyler, as I did my other children, in our home in Joliet where we have lived for the past 20 years.

These are the facts. And, again, I have the documentation to back up what I say to be true as well as the most important thing to me: the custody of my children to ensure they are raised as they have been–in a safe, loving home.

I want to add that I did not recount the detail above to embarrass anyone or assign blame. But the above is the truth and I felt I should lay out the facts and let informed Will County voters make up their own minds once presented with all of the relevant information, and not just my opponent’s desperate smears.

I should add one more thing, even after everything our family has been through, I still believe in erring on the side of safety when it comes to domestic violence. That means reporting any such incident. If someone is falsely accused, as I was, the courts can and will sort it out, as they did in my case.

With all of this now explained in painful detail, I also want Will County residents to consider the kind of person who would knowingly print falsehoods of this nature for political gain.

I want Will County residents to consider the kind of person who would, for political gain, cravenly attempt to exploit the serious issue of domestic violence and to, in effect, trivialize the suffering of the many families who have had to deal with actual domestic violence.

It is unconscionable that Larry Walsh and his guns-for-hire would knowingly and purposefully spread a story of this nature that they knew to be false. And, yet, that’s precisely what they have done.

If this is the kind of politics you want, the politics of character assassination, the politics of malicious lies and desperation, then Larry Walsh is your candidate, Will County.

If you reject this sort of politics, then, whether you vote for me or not, please let Larry Walsh and his crew know.

Whether I win or lose this election is less important to me than seeing someone in a position of public trust get away with the brand of malicious deceit practiced by Larry Walsh.

Finally, I have delivered a “cease, desist, and retract” letter to Larry Walsh’s fake newspaper. I plan to follow through with all appropriate legal action against Larry Walsh’s fake newspaper and anyone else who cares to engage in libelous and slanderous conduct against either me or my family.

Herald news censors comments (democrat paper)

I placed the below comment in the comment section of the herald (spew) news yet the Herald news censors my comments because my comment does not go along with the papers ideology of candidate pick….this makes the 3rd time I placed the below comment there. At least someone has a backbone at the herald news to take away the right of freedom of speech…Oh sorry they are a news Paper should they do that?  Last post at 10/14/2008 7:11 AM CDT on suburbanchicagonews.com

Barack Obama served as a paid director alongside a confessed domestic terrorist granted funding to a controversial Arab group that mourns the establishment of Israel as a “catastrophe” and supports intense immigration reform, including providing drivers licenses and education to illegal aliens.

Yet if Elected…He…has inside information on American secrets which could be offered, Why is Obama worried about a fair fight now for presidency? Is obama worried that his past may reflect on his possible actions as president or lack of action in the name of ala. Is there Something to hide? Maybe…If elected does this give Obama the official support of domestic, Middle Eastern and Latin American Marxist terrorists (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia—or its Spanish acronym FARC). Democrats must be so proud….

If Obama was a pedophile I know no body would elect him, If a pedophile was in your neighborhood would you be scared for the children? Obama has ties to terrorist affiliated persons, Guess what? these persons are still in the USA; why have the authorities not rounded up and detained for extensive questioning and investigation, of these persons, or is that not P.C just as all the other suspected terrorist have been questioned why not them? Why are these persons of questionable terrorist character permitted to live freely in the USA when our soldiers are dying at war? I believe it is because Obama is funded by big corporations and people of questionable backgrounds. they are putting money down on him so that when he becomes president they will go with their favors because they have funded his campaigns. The elections are no longer in the hands of the people, rather it is in the hands of the big corporate interests that even run the governments. Earmarks….Obama’s bread and butter and mortgage hand out to who???….Illegals that was the hard to fund loans we hear so much about but no body has the cahoonas to say, I guess it make no difference to many.

Obama declared: “It’s time to engage in diplomatic efforts to help build a new Lebanese consensus that focuses on electoral reform, an end to the current corrupt patronage system, and the development of the economy that provides for a fair distribution of services, opportunities and employment.” Well how does that statement relate here in Amaerica? We will see..I bet it does not apply to us voters and un employed here.

Obama’s comments about “legitimate causes” of terror groups and “root problems of causes and dangers” seems to echo little-noticed remarks the presidential candidate made eight days after 9/11 in which he said the attacks were carried out because of a lack of “empathy” for others’ suffering on the part of al-Qaida, whose terrorist ideology “grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.” We have poor here yet never has a American homeless person crashed a a plane into a soup kitchen.
