Mayor Art Schultz wants canned pastor on his plate.

art schultz insuranceJOLIET — Mayoral appointments to city boards and commissions typically are mundane matters, approved at council meetings with little discussion other than some congratulations.

Mayor Art Schultz’s plan to remove a popular police chaplain from the police and fire board, however, has aroused opposition from the city council even before they’ve been asked to vote on it.

Schultz has said he may propose a replacement to the Rev. Vytas Memenas as soon as the council’s next meetings Monday and Tuesday.

‘whats all the hubbub’

JolietJakes Comments: I will tell you how I feel about it, there is a pole cat in the hen house.

Why is it after a man, a pastor, and a all around good guy like  the Rev. Vytas Memenas has faithfully and tirelessly served Joliet, Will County, and his community  now mayor Schultz feels the need to can the pastor.

Whats behind this underhanded action?

Normally I don’t agree with  the Joliet city council or the Will county board, but I guess there is always a first time.

If mayor Art Schultz sees the need to replace Rev. Vytas Memenas  then I say: Lets replace mayor Art Schultz like we should have done years ago.

The Guess Who is coming to Joliet

The Guess Who, the band that became Canada’s first international rock music superstars, began in 1962 in Winnipeg.

They are coming to Joliet to rock the amps and smoke the speakers. I hope to see all my friends there.

Thanks to Bill and Joel for the heads up.

Health care who deserves it? Just a thought.

54_Lange-ClownPresident Obama said  that the “basic standard of decency” requires that illegal aliens be provided emergency room care even if they don’t have insurance if they need treatment. He had previously said that illegals would not be eligible for medical care under his plan. It’s a giant sucking sound on the system, why does obama keep using the 43 million un-insured number when he knows that includes illegals…This to me inflates the numbers and gives false validity to his already failing health care plan.

Then look at the MAYBE effect, this may cause a trickle down affect in the Government health care: Ann Coulter Obama”s Plan Encourages Assisted suicide … true this is whats now proposed for the American Vets, but how hard would  it be for the same government to pass this Assisted suicide toward senior citizens and the feeble if given enough power by the masses.

Are we really Worried about American healthcare Or managing the entire life history of each and every american | so what then and what do we do when we give absolute power away? This is insanity.. moronic lunatics are coming to an asylum near you.

Sandy Romberg Know as “Dutch”

I wanted to take a moment to say a few things about Sandy (Dutchmen) Romberg, Dutch has been having a bought with cancer, he is in Silver Cross hospital.

The Dutchmen has touched many lives, dutch is no big star, but he has touched the lives of many people all across the Will county area… I have watched the man over the years give of him self to his community and ask little in return for his efforts.

I pray that God takes away his pain that goes along with his bone cancer, it will be a sad day in Joliet and around Dutch’s hang out Loise’s resturaunt.

I have known Dutch for over 30 years he is a person that should always be cherised for his efforts, I would ask of any one that knows Dutch to send flowers, cards, or just say a prayer for him. Dutch is in room 4103 in Silver Cross Hospital.

My Prayer for The Dutchmen…….

Father,
God Bless Dutch in whatever it is that You know
he may be needing this day.
And may
Dutch’s Life be full
of Your Peace, Prosperity and Power as
he seeks to have a closer relationship with You.
In Jesus Christ’s name I pray,
who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit
One God
forever and ever.

Amen~

Tax me hell, Voters will fire ya…

Joliet IL-The Joliet City Council  has proposed a 35 percent rate increase this year in water and sewer rates with additional 5 percent hikes in each of the next two years. This would also include the elimination of some senior rebates, and the hikes are as high as 50 percent for some residents. The increase in water and sewer rates, which would take effect by Oct. 1 if approved.

taxreadyComment from: JolietJake2008

I guess we tax payers are going to have to pay the tax slavery plan that the Joliet city council is proposing. Joliet has mismanaged the money for years and nobody seems like they are accountable or has a clue why Joliet is in such dire straits, what I see is people being taxed out of their homes while the Joliet fat cats sit back and make these inane rulings.

While Joliet is pushing for this tax increase, city councilman Warren Dorris Dist. 5  is putting the screws to Joliet’s east-side business owners the small mom and pop shops for what reason(s) I don’t know, what I do know is the business owners are voicing their opinions in person to me and I see a pattern, these business owners are not some big corporate conglomerate like uhhh Speedway gas stations.

On another note: Will County is persecuting a business called simply sensual on the east end of Washington st, that sells adult items, which the Will County board gave the owner a business license, maybe they didn’t understand that ADULT means just that adult marital happiness aids…lol.. and now they regret their disillusions that convinced them to give the owner a business license.

Hey Joliet and Will County lets see if we can collectively understand this, tax payers are tired of your incompetence and your lack of management skills, Damn, if I was as incompetent as some on these boards and councils I would be fired…Now that’s a great idea, how about we voters fire all of your asses and start new.

The “Tax The Hell Out Of It attitude” has to go and your going to the unemployment line.
